Easy Old Bay Baked Chicken

Steppel Family Table

Notes: Originally from https://www.thegayglobetrotter.com/old-bay-chicken/. Modified by Debra and Madeleine Steppel.

Ingredients

Old Bay seasoning

Chicken, bone-in with skin (Madeleine used 6 drumsticks)

Olive oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Put all ingredients in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag. There should be enough Old Bay and olive oil to evenly coat the chicken. Marinate for as long as you want (cooking immediately is fine).

In a cast iron or oven-safe skillet, sear the marinated chicken for 5 minutes on each side or until skin is browned.

Transfer skillet (or put chicken on a baking sheet) into preheated oven. Cook for 30 minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. When cut into, the chicken's juices should run clear.
