Busy-day Beef and Cabbage Casserole

Notes: Serves 4. Serve with canister biscuits or over pasta.


Ingredients

1-1.5 lb. ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 med. onion

minced garlic

salt & garlic powder

1 medium head of cabbage

1 - 15oz. can condensed tomato soup (use lg. 26 oz. can when doubling recipe)


Directions

Dice onion. Gently brown ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic.

Season to taste with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Shred cabbage into coarse pieces into a 9"x13" glass pan.

Layer in greased casserole dish: meat, cabbage, meat, cabbage.

Pour undiluted tomato soup over top layer of cabbage. Do not stir. Cover with glass lid or foil to make as airtight as possible. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until cabbage is tender.
